For those of you who missed my workshop, I'm summarizing my talking points in green text. All others, proceed to the Toolbox.

Getting Real about Shared Services

Libraries and librarians have been sharing services for thousands of years! It's what we do! No matter what my position and schedule look like next year, I will make time to help you use the tools I'm sharing today.

Lagging Lessons + Collaboration + Librarian= Lesson Liberation

Integrating technology into instruction is like going to the gym. We should all be doing it on a regular basis so we don't fall behind on our goals, but there isn't always enough time. That's why you should take advantage of your library resources. I can take on the role of personal trainer, getting you up to speed one-on-one, or airbrush artist, helping you look like a rock star. You don't have to reinvent the wheel or redesign whole units on your own. As a certified teacher, I'm prepared to help you design collaborative curriculum projects that incorporate technology. Check out Lesson Liberation.

What's Out There: The Web's Best Tools

Check out the Toolbox. Thingamajigs are our school's hardware. Doodads are Web 2.0 applications that are recommended for their simplicity.

Learning Through Play

I gave time to workshop lessons using the tools I showed. Want some one-on-one planning time with me? Send me an e-mail! cknoetgen@stamfordcs.org.  You can also give feedback on this virtual version of the workshop by taking my survey!
